Security Sterilization of Churches and Tourist Sites Ensuring Security Ahead of Christmas, Blora Police Task Force Sterilizes Churches and Tourist Destinations
BLORA – The Preventive Task Force of Operation Lilin Candi (OLC) 2025, Blora Regional Police, intensified security measures at several houses of worship and public areas across Blora Regency on Sunday (21/12/2025). This proactive step involved intensive sterilization and patrols to ensure regional stability ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations.
Personnel from the Preventive Task Force conducted thorough inspections of several major churches in the urban area, including Bhetany Church, KJTU Church, GKI, Santopius Church, KJB Church, GBI Arumdalu, and GKMI Blora. In addition to religious sites, officers also monitored vital objects and tourist spots, such as Noyo Gimbal Tourism, to anticipate surges in visitors and potential security disturbances.
Blora Police Chief, AKBP Wawan Andi Susanto, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., through the Head of the OLC 2025 Preventive Task Force, AKP Kusnio, S.E., emphasized that this sterilization is a standard operating procedure to provide a sense of security to congregants during Sunday services and Christmas preparations.
“We conducted comprehensive checks both inside and outside the church premises to ensure there are no suspicious objects or other potential threats. Our focus is to guarantee that the community can worship peacefully, solemnly, and comfortably,” stated AKP Kusnio.
AKP Kusnio added that based on field observations since 08:30 AM local time, all activities at the targeted locations remained safe. Personnel also advised tourist site managers and church administrators to remain vigilant and immediately coordinate with the police if any significant issues arise.
